On My To Do List: Lavender Fields in Provence

Photobucket
Ever since my friend Monika came back from a little vacation in France and raved about the lavender fields in Provence, I have been wanting to stroll my old bones on over there. I knew about them long ago, forgot about them and was then re-enlightened with the gorgey postcards Monika brought back.

This is Gourdon's Garden in the Provence region...love those bulbous shrubbies.

And you can buy the fresh lavender like this. My mom puts this in a little glass bowl in her house, and it smells oh so vundee. {Now that I'm totally sprechen Deutsche...it's vundee ...short for wunderbar.}

You know I'm up for any trip to the south of France!! Wish it was a bit closer to Austria so we could combine the two. But you and Art may get over there at some point. Tell him to schedule a conference in Provence!
