Books, Beanbags & Jeggings

Not much to share on this drizzly, cold Monday morning. {It rains so often here and I'm so sick of it!} We did have a good weekend with minimal rain and pretty, sunny and chilly days. {Do you care about my weather? No you really don't.}

Every month or so for one weekend there is something new set up in the Hauptplatz (main square) downtown. These people know how to do temporary staging and moving I tell ya... a concert, a market or a makeshift library!

Grab a beanbag, a book and some wine and you're good to go.

I thought it was quite cute. Better than some of the blaring music that sometimes blazes your ears off. The beanbags were for sale, of course, but not at such a lovely price.

I also...found me some jeggings at the coffee shop!

I found it so strange when we first moved here that this coffee shop, Tchibo, sold house knick knacks and clothes...that change according to the season every month or so.

The clothes may come in bags (and I may be the girl that takes pictures of the clothes in the coffee shop) but hey, these dark blue jeggings, I mean treggings, are the best I've seen.

And at 19 euros, they can't be beat.

For those of you wondering what the heck I'm talking about, jeggings are a pair of leggings made of thin jean material with an elastic waist band (wondey!) that are much more comfortable than tight jeans and more acceptable than wearing leggings as pants, although I won't wear these like pants...just with longer than normal tops but not mega long tops.

My skinny jeans are so dang uncomfortable, but necessary for days with the tall boots. Not anymore lover. And, skinny jeans aren't easy to come by for fatty calves me. Jeggings are possibly more for the teenage population, but I don't care. I do care that the Euro size chart on the back of the package said my size equaled an American 12. You are always fatter here. Stay in America.

I learned to not even pay attention to the sizes in Europe and I just got what fit (and tried not to cry when the US equivalent was XL!)

Oh, I just succumbed (finally) to skinny jeans, but fear my legs might resemble stuffed sausages. My nieces (age 7 and 10) gave them a thumbs up, but...I'll keep trying them on here and there before my public debut! I think it's one of those things that always looks cute on OTHER people. Then again, they probably are just better for teenagers (or 7 and 10-year-olds)!

Gotta love Tchibo! I find that I actually look forward to their new things and always re-route my walks to fit in some Tchibo window shopping. Europe...we so crazy! :-)

Ok, for the record I care about your weather! What was that thing going on in town about 3 days before I left when the firemen were setting fire to a car outside Tchibo? Talking of which, my parents were so sad when Tchibo closed down in the UK, maybe that's putting it a bit strongly but at least when they come to visit I know what to do with them ;p
