Really Quite Delish Pancakes

Photobucket
Yum. These are real good. I haven't had pancakes in so long, but I got on a little baking/cooking kick after watching Julie & Julia yesterday. For me, that means pancakes, cakes and soup...not deboning a duck and sewing him back up.

I added some strawberry jelly...this is the best jelly I've ever had..we discovered it the first week we lived here and I even brought some home to Houston when I went. It tastes so fresh and I'm pretty sure it's made with real sugar instead of corn syrup.

And speaking of syrup, Frau Jemima and Frau Butterworth don't reside in Austria...you must go with 100% pure, natural maple syrup which I was a bit hesitant about at first..but it's better. {This reminds me of when I did that terri awful cayenne pepper, maple syrup lemonade only diet...and lost maybe 1 lb. and gained about 12 enemies with my canty attitude.}

Look who else wanted to try some. {Mad at myself for blurry pic}

And yesterday we made a chocolate cake. It was good, but picture worthy? Nein.
Had some troubles with the double layers falling apart.

As for the movie, cute but not great. Ending was sorta weak. Did like the part about blogging. Didn't like Amy Adams hair (for the role, I know, but still). Julia's voice got on my nerves. Julia's food did not. Bon Appetit!

Just some info for your readers in the States: I used to get Darbo jams at World market. Kind of pricy - but worth the splurge every now and then.
