The Mur Island

What was meant to be a temporary project of the Cultural Capital of Europe, Graz 2003, has turned into an attraction - the island in the river Mur. Designed by a New York artist, it's a steel grid structure in the shape of a half-opened shell. The open part is an amphitheatre for performances and the covered part is a very trendy, modern cafe.

Art and I haven't really eaten here yet or spent much time here,
but we plan to soon since the weather is getting really nice!
Lots of people hang out in the open part and get some sun.
