The Schlossberg (Clocktower Hill)

Schlossberg literally means "castle mountain". It was once a place of refuge for Graz's residents. It was turned into a public park in 1839.

The steps up to the top. I opted for the lift instead.

Into the caves (where they host concerts and events).

The lift

The restaurant at the top.

The view from the top. Red roof city.
You can easily spot the porcupine Kunsthaus.

That church, Herz Jesu Kirche (Sacred Heart Church),
is several blocks from our apt.

There's also a railway car that will take you to the top...it's pretty steep.
It hasn't been in operation since we've been here.
